Our Greatest achievement and the foundation of the ROAMOBI platform is the proprietary Intelligent HLR (Home Location Registry) This is the most critical part of any mobile network often costing millions of dollars from vendors and usually very unintelligent. Combined with the VLR of visiting networks this often leads to multiple issues in delivering universal Uniform services across borders. Users often cannot even check their voicemail when traveling without calling long distance and manually accessing messages. This is one example of many which illustrates the need of change in the way calls are handled when traveling.
The ROAMOBI partners have built a completely proprietary platform with every element being built in house. Some of these components are allready patented and thus when combined they provide a truly unique global solution for international communication.
ROAMOBI were pleased to announce in the third quarter 2012 the launch of a new Global Number Range to support the neutrality of our universal SIM based services.
This represents the culmination of ten years of work with the ITU which was achieved by one of the ROAMOBI project partners. This is the first truly global number for mobile communication and will allow any owner to launch a global unified service built on one neutral global number.
Known as the 'One Global Number Range' these numbers will not be regulated by in geographic local regulator but by none country specific global regulator appointed by the ITU. One Global Number Limited a ROAMOBI partner company will be the exclusive vehicle to release this global number range to the general public as a usefull addition to the Global SIM product in the third quarter 2012.
The incoming call revenue which can be as much as 20 cents (US) per minute is shared with the ROAMOBI business partner involved and the respective client running the service.
There is some work to do on the Global Mapping of the number range but this is anticipated to be completed by the early part of 2013.
Premium global short codes and Alpha Numbers have also been created and will generate significant annual revenues for the ROAMOBI project.
In 2012 The Roamobi Partners will launch RTMIS which will combine the best of the travel elements combined with having a local identity competitive with local SIMs.
This gives user the benefit of having the best of both worlds. RTMIS detects the phone’s physical location by the registration on the default IMSI and then the iGLR automatically selects the appropriate IMSI from the Available IMSI Pool that is best suited (cheapest) to serve the area of registration, and pushes that IMSI to the ROAMOBI SIM and then forces the terminal to re-register.
The Worlds First Miniature Mobile Handset for The Global Travel Market. The ROAMOBI project will produce the first of a range of bundled miniature handsets into the global market. Smaller than credit cards these handsets will be ideal travel handsets and very affordable for mass production in the developing world. There are wide range of designs from a classic designer model to an ultra-low cost hard wearing model for the mass consumer market. All will be branded 'Powered by Roamobi' and will only be on sale through approved marketing partners.
SoftSIM Technology This mobile application allow users to ‘break out’ of existing mobile networks and intelligently manages the calls, constantly changing according to the various needs of its customers. This is not a VoIP product and is not dependent on 3G so can work in the majority of countries covered by GSM (Some 86% of the world population presently have access to GSM) The LCR (Least Cost Routing) module is now on general release on the Symbian, Android, Apple, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices. Other modules in the pipeline are particularly interesting to corporates such as Call Recording, User Management, Feature lock down in company premises (Cameras, Downloading etc) & GPS tracking. The real beauty of SoftSIM is that it works invisibly and does not require user intervention. Calls are made in the normal way no Java to open or manually calling. When the SMS Module is completed in late 2011 users will be able to text each other internationally, without charge, with a small monthly subscription providing unlimited usage. All of these modules can be pushed to the user without a new re-installation. On some mobile platforms SoftSIM user can have several useful applications all running simultaneously and can automatically boot and work invisibly in the background.
SCC Technology This technology was invented by a Dutch Inventor and was introduced to the ROAMOBI project in 2010. Be aware of the fact that parts of this SIM technology have been pirated by a number of companies in Europe and around the world? These companies have not achieved a reliable consumer offering and a number of major players have gone into liquidation with massive debts. There are a number of key patents and other intellectual properties involved and all these solutions need to be put together for a reliable consumer offering. No-one has so far done this with or without a license. SCC is primarily a SIM technology, but it only comes in to its own when combined with an independent mobile operator. On February 21, 2001 in Cannes, France SCC was awarded "The best GSM Technical Innovation" by the panel of judges for the far reaching effect it will have on the consumer and business market and the ability "to offer services in all GSM networks abroad using regular roaming agreements." We have now reached a point where all the factors needed to make Roamobi Technology a success are in place;

The members of the ROAMOBI project saw the immediate synergy between SCC and the various complimentary technologies highlighted here in brief. This allows a major breakthrough in markets such as the USA, India & Russia where there are crippling roaming tariffs which cannot be bypassed by SCC technology alone.
Multi IMSI and Twin SIM Technology - The members of the ROAMOBI project have for a long time grappled with the reasons why large corporates had not been willing to take up this technology and none of the Pirates had successfully won any major corporate contract. After in depth market research carried out at international exhibitions and from corporate user trials it became apparent what were the main obstacles to gain the lucrative corporate accounts:
Lack of a transparent mainstream handset solution and compatibility issues.
Unwillingness to migrate from existing SIM card and service provider.
Lack of confidence in the Supplier of the technology.

There are great untapped opportunities in the M2M field and ROAMOBI allows remote machines & terminals to communicate with base without the need of a conventional data connection or the expensive use of SMS. Using a ROAMOBI SIM a device and communicate over multiple networks from within the network itself, thus dramatically reducing the costs of communication.
This becomes particularly beneficial when a company wishes to deploy devices in multiple geographic locations where one global solution is required. A ROAMOBI powered device can communicate over multiple MNO networks in any one country so usually provides a better coverage than any local SIM can provide.
Signaling costs can be reduced by a factor of ten in some markets. Ideally suited also for Tracking, Banking Terminals and for automation of remote devices & services.
